Chapter 8

I found this blog by United States of Anthony.

He writes about police corruption in America. He shows the all the victims which includes minorities, such as Chicanos that we are reading about in the book. His opinion is that the police will continue to do whatever they want because for the most part there will be no consequences, and if there is it will most likely not include jail time.

He likes to talk about politics, marijuana, police corruption, and society.

I liked his post because he showed videos of the police mistreating innocent people and taking advantage of their power. This was evidence for his claim that the police are not held responsible for their actions.

This blog relates to the chapter because, in the book we see the police arresting Robert Fernandez for no good reason and tricking his family into thinking he will be released shortly. They then try to cover up their actions by saying his death was a suicide which makes no sense since he called his family to tell them to post bail. It shows that corruption has always and will always exist.
