I got this picture from an LA Times article about the restoration of Whittier Boulevard. This picture connects to the chapter because it was the place where "twenty-five thousand Chicanos had marched down. It symbolizes where they made a huge public declaration of their "own existance". The thing I will remember about this chapter is not only the march, but the victory over the courts that forces them to answer any and all questions that the lawyer poses to them.Sunday, April 12, 2009
Chapter 16 - Whitter Boulevard
